Week 1

Game building has been started and roles has been defined. Map design has been most important thing in the game yet as the game is taking place in Finland and it has unique nature.

Level Design & Map Creation

3.5.2023

Game UI / UX part has been started to design. Main Menu was designed in proto.io first and after that we looked at about what would be the perfect fit for it.

Main Menu design

In game UI / UX has been created also. The player will be losing health by 10 every hit the enemies will manage to do. After 10 hits the player will die.

It has been hard coded a system that will decrease the player calories every x distance the player walks. Maximum calory amount is 2000 and if it goes to 0 player will start losing health and eventually die. If the calory counter will be 0 and your health is decreasing you need to find food to eat to get more calories to survive.

Last bar which will take part in the gameplay is hydration bar that will be shown in percents. There is also same system as in the calories bar if the hydartion is near the 0% percent players health will decrease and that will also lead to dying.

In Game UI / UX

Player has compasss in the botton left corner that will help to navigate trough the finnish nature. Player has a backpack that will held up to 10 items. There could be guns or food and other supplies to survive.
 

To inform the player about how to open backpack or interact with stuff there is guide symbols in bottom right corner and by looking those you will learn the game and you will be better survivor.

There is a only 3 quick slots that will held one item per slot. You should decide what is the most needed stuff that will either help or make your life easier without always switching the stuff in the backpack and the quickslots.
